Financial Analyst II
Essential Function
The Financial Analyst supports the financial analysis of Operational Management, including analysis of actual cost, preparation of monthly revenue recognition and project analysis.
Key Accountabilities
• Identifies trends impacting revenue recognition and profitability (forecast amounts, EUAC vs. Budgeted Units impact, Earned vs. Actual revenues for all URR studies, net pass through review, labour / forecast mismatches, etc.)
• Ensures appropriate revenue recognition (SAB104 compliant) is performed
• Maintains compliance with respect to SAB104 and Sarbanes-Oxley (i.e., perform monthly audits of contract values, project-to-date revenue, contract status, units completed to date, etc.
• Provides analysis and reporting on actual project performance metrics versus budget and forecast and suggesting corrective action to improve efficiency and financial performance
• Provides Project Profitability - Revenue Forecasting (Project Level)
• Provides Backlog Analysis
- Billed, Unbilled/Deferred A/R
- Audit Support
• Supports the Functional Operations Leader(s) in reporting and analysis of functional department results
• Assists in the monthly close process for the SBU, providing revenue and cost analysis

• Continuously improves upon skills with all PAREXEL financial applications and related reporting tools in the interest of departmental cross-training and system skills development

Skills
