Lead Development Design Engineer
Duties to involve design concepts, analysis and detailed design. Carry out design reviews and ensure that projects remain on track to the agreed programme. Advise Engineers and Senior Engineers on technical aspects of design and program management issues. Liaise with Sales and Purchase departments on project related issues. Represent department at customer support meetings, in-house and at customer sites.
Key Accountabilities
Responsibility for providing technical guidance on design and analysis
Responsible for monitoring and maintaining progress against the agreed program timing whilst ensuring design output is of a high quality
Coordinate Design Reviews, DFMEA, and Design for Manufacture/Assembly processes
Liaise with the Test function in development of Design Validation Plans and ensure appropriate testing is undertaken
Working closely with the Chief Engineer in devising cohesive plans for each program in adherence to the requirements of APQP whilst ensuring necessary resources are made available
Liaise with customers and suppliers to progress the development of active programs
Representing engineering at project phase exit reviews
Performance Measures:
Timely and accurate completion of complete designs
Ability to interpret customer needs, define specifications and provide reports and information within set deadlines
Qualifications:
BSc / BEng Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
10 years minimum postgraduate experience preferably within the automotive (truck / trailer) industry
Knowledge of Commercial Vehicle suspension design and development
Comfortable with the supervision of Engineers and Senior Engineers
Understanding of CAD and FEA and capable of carrying out complex engineering calculations
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Familiar with working in a project management environment
Knowledge of Automotive & Commercial Vehicle market
Commitment to continuous improvement and development
Attention to detail - accuracy and precision
Methodical and analytical

The role will involve generating sales growth by developing new customer business at both the engineering and design stages of product development, via sales and application engineering activities.

Responsibilities
In the role of Finance Sales / Business Manager you will

* Discuss financial requirements with all vehicle purchases and sell finance, credit insurance, warranties, and any other services offered by the dealership.
* Maximise commission earned and provide a platform for future sales.
* Set F&I targets for the sales team, review their performance on a weekly basis, coach & develop the team where needed.
* Liaise closely with members of the Sales Team providing advice and assistant with regard to helping to close deals.
* Propose financial transactions to the sponsored Finance Company.
* Channel transactions elsewhere if not acceptable to the sponsored Finance Company.
* Ensure that all documentation relating to transactions are accurate and legally correct prior to the release of any vehicles.

* Ensure that all cars financed are paid for within expected and agreed deadlines.
* Have knowledge and operate within the guidelines set out in the Sales Procedure Manual.
* Be IT literate and able to use relevant financial systems.
