With this continued growth in mind, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Defence Fee Earner to join their Personal Injury team in Birkenhead.

As a Defence Fee Earner, you will deal with all aspects of litigated and non – litigated Defence personal injury claims, including RTA claims, and pursuing Part 20 claims on behalf of clients when appropriate. You will have a good working knowledge of the CPR and/or and other relevant case law and/or legislation and progressing defences in a timely manner in accordance with the CPR.

You will also have a working knowledge and where appropriate advise on/progress claims involving technical arguments such as indemnity/RTA/Article 75 Insurer issues, resiling from admissions, and pursuing non-parties to litigation.

In addition, you will instruct Counsel, attend conferences, hearings and CMC’s etc and will undertake telephone advocacy when appropriate e.g. allocation hearings and CMCs. You will also take a pragmatic commercial approach to settlements and advise clients as to litigation/cost risks. You will ensure that clients are kept fully informed as to the progress of their matter and you will keep apprised of any developments and changes in the areas of work in which you are engaged.

To be successful in this role, candidates will have previous experience in handling Defence claims within a similar environment. You will have excellent client care and analytical skills which would include written and oral advice in a clear and concise manner. Good IT Skills with a sound working knowledge of Solcase or similar case management system would be an advantage.

We are recruiting a number of Graduates (Must have completed a degree or equivalent, although you do not have to have graduated) on a contract basis to work as Case Handlers for a FTSE 100 company within the Financial Services/Banking sector.

This role is based in Chester (close to the station) and is initially on a Contract until the 31st December 2013, although could be extended.

Working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday. There 2 shifts available, 07.00 to 15.00 paying £16,000 (rising to £18,000 after 3 months) and 15.00 to 23.00 which pays £18,400 (rising to £20,700 after 3 months)

We will be looking for candidates to be available to start at the end of June & beginning of July.

**THIS IS NOT A SALES ROLE AND INVOLVES NO COLD CALLING**

The role will involve investigating the sale of a customer`s Insurance policy, to see if they were aware of the insurance terms and conditions and to assess whether it was a suitable product for them.

You will manage your own case load and will be responsible for liaising with Customers, 3rd Parties, such as solicitors and other internal departments. There will also be large admin element.

You will be given comprehensive training over 2 weeks to enable you to understand the Insurance product, use the relevant systems and undertake the role in the style required by the company.

You will need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills as you will be speaking with customers on the phone and responding in writing.

The role of Finance Manager - Treasury will assist the Head of Treasury and manage the day to day operations of the treasury department, including cash flow management and investments ensuring the department provides a quality and timely service which meets the needs of the Group.

• Manage the Groups £0.5bn loan facilities ensuring compliance with all payment, reporting requirements and financial covenants.
• Provide security to funders in a timely and effective manner and manage the relationship with external partners (valuers and solicitors)
• Review and continuously improve Treasury processes and systems to ensure adequate systems are in place for management of the Treasury function (i.e. for monitoring security, central loan register) and recommend changes when warranted.
• Review financial covenant calculations for the Group
• Ensure the timely management and payment of interest on all Group loans.
• Drawdown funds under the loan facilities in a timely manner and in accordance with loan documentation.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with the Groups funders to ensure provision of excellent service and open good channels of communication.
• Supervise and continuously improve cashflow reporting and forecasting for all members of the Group and advise the Head of Treasury of their accuracy and any implications for the liquidity of the Group.
• Report on material movements to forecasts
• Maintain systems to monitor the credit rating of investment institutions and counterparty exposure limits to ensure all investments comply with the Treasury Strategy.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with investment institutions to maximise returns.
• Using cashflow forecast to identify and recommend to the Head of Treasury when investments are to be placed
• Monitoring of these investments, currently c£70m
• Delivery of banking arrangements

It is essential you are qualified ACA/ACCA / CIMA / ACT and have proven experience in a similar role and possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience of the housing sector would be desirable.

It is essential you are a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with proven experience of long term planning and capital appraisal and excellent excel and modelling skills. Knowledge of BRIXX or Cognos would be an advantage
