Established North London Construction Group seek an experienced Finance Manager/Controller to supervise a small team and work closely with the Finance Director and MD .This is an all encompassing role and duties will extend beyond monthly Financial and Management reporting and will extend to office management ,company secretarial and some HR involvement . You will be a good man manager with a strong personality and the ability to challenge and communicate effectively with surveyors operations managers major clients and senior members of staff.Efficient and effective cash management is key to this position and this will involve improving processes and developing management accounting systems to monitor and capture the costs and cash position of each individual job or contract . Previous construction industry experience in a similar role is preferable .Project review, analysis of KPI's ,cash flow management and knowledge of tax rules relating to the industry are essential.

An exciting opportunity has surfaced at a well-known NHS Acute Hospital for an interim Financial Controller to join the finance team there on an interim basis for the next 6 months.
The candidate will be responsible for:
• Reviewing the final accounts process
• Leading the Financial Services team, financial accounts, systems, AP/AR and general office.
• Organisation and planning of annual accounts.
• Board level reporting of key targets; cash flow, capital, balance sheet, FRR calculation.
• Preparation of the financial elements of the due diligence requirements for Trust merger.
Our client is looking for a qualified accountant who has undertaken a similar role within the NHS, ideally within an Acute setting. You must be able to demonstrate strong financial acumen. If you wish to be considered for this opportunity it is essential that you have worked in the NHS within the past 6 months.

This well established innovative family run UK Manufacturing business in North London, turnover £7m, supplying the major retail multiples, independents and customers on the web - across the UK, Europe and Australia - and exploring new product streams and new opportunities in North America, is currently seeking an experienced Part Time Interim Finance Director with whom to build a short and medium term relationship to help the business during this period of growth and beyond.

This medium sized business in Central London designs and supplies garments to major high street retailers. They require a Cost Accountant on a Temporary to Permanent basis who has excellent systems skills and who will be responsible for reporting all aspects of product costing and providing support to the financial controller to produce management accounts.
Key responsibilities include:
• Develop and maintain reports from the database
• Provide assistance to the Accounts Department, as necessary, to ensure the management and annual accounts are issued in a timely manner
• Ad hoc tasks as required as part of the finance team
• Analyse and report customer margins
• Develop and maintain a product costing system to ensure accurate costs can be established for all products
• Assist in developing the costing model to ensure the correct pricing is used in Sales Quotations
• Assist with costing new products and provide financial input into strategic pricing decisions
• Take an active role in the development of the costing model in Sage and improve accuracy of the model
• Develop and maintain a costing system to ensure costs are adequately compared against budgets
Qualifications and Education Requirements;
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience of costing products in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to work with databases either in Excel using ODBC or Access
• Experience of variance reporting
• Good analytical skills
This temporary to permanent opportunity requires an excellent communicator with a proactive and enquiring attitude who has strong database experience. Salary £33,000 - £38,000 depending on experience.
