Based in Watford, Hertfordshire, our global US owned business seeks a number of experienced revenue managers to join them as Cluster Revenue Managers within the newly formed European Revenue Centre.
These jobs would suit individuals with previous revenue experience who will be responsible for maximising revenue, market share and profits for multiple sites through the strategic coordination of revenue management processes and procedures. This job will also look to drive the continued development and growth of customer service standards, revenue and profits from these sites in line with company values.
The company is truly world renowned with operations in over 75 countries and employing in excess of 100,000 people. Exciting growth is forecasted over the next 10 years with a business plan that shows a 33% increase in its sites and global market. To ensure that the company is structured correctly to deal with this growth, a newly created European Revenue Centre has been developed in Watford.
Currently there are c.80 people in this Centre, many of whom have transferred and relocated internally, to be at the heart of this exciting function which, when completed, will service operations across the whole of Europe and other locations further afield. The Centre has been set up so that there is obvious progression within the structure and it is expected that the Centre will ultimately have over 100 people employed in it.
The successful individual will be an experienced revenue/ yield/ pricing expert working in a fast paced environment where quick decisions and pricing changes happen all day. You will most likely come from a Travel, Leisure, or Hotel type background where the pricing of the products and services fluctuate on an ongoing basis and large quantities of data have to be analysed and assessed before making the relevant decisions. Qualifications are not essential but strong excel and experience in vast data manipulation is critical. Knowledge of any languages will be advantageous in servicing sites around the world but this is neither essential nor restrictive to the job.
Job Objectives:
•Ensure that sales and pricing strategies are based on sound commercial judgement through effective analysis and reporting
•Ensure professional and efficient utilization of all systems, in line with company best practices and standard operating procedures
•Ensure effective information gathering and analysis is conducted in order to identify and maximise on all possible opportunities and minimise any risks
•Ensure that relevant commercial team members are actively engaged in all revenue decisions by maintaining regular communication to effectively implement, drive and review optimal strategies and controls
•Integrate with other functions to ensure we exceed our customer’s, owner’s and shareholder expectations
Duties will include:
•Provide a synopsis of results vs. direction from the previous week and lead discussion on future issues such as booking pace, pricing strategies, marketing opportunities and the competitive environment
•Develops and reviews annual transient and group pricing and demand calendars on a quarterly basis
•Reviews end of month statistics reports and provide critical analysis on performance vs. forecasts and results of implemented strategies
•Analyses past and present trends and makes recommendations for future strategies
•Prepares all weekly, monthly, 3 month forecast and budget using appropriate systems and tools
•Ensures growth in performance of KPIs

•Company car cash allowance = £4,200pa
•Bonus (wholly discretionary) = Target 10% base salary Max 15% base salary

- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- High degree of analytical skills
- French and / or German desirable
