Test Development Engineer - Durham

Senior Test Development Engineer now required in the north of England. Due to expansion our client requires a software test engineer to take an active role in the development and deployment of new test applications.

Responsibilities will include the design and implementation of new LabView based applications using common design patterns and utilising code-reuse where applicable to support verification test of new products. To use WATS data mining tools to support new product verification activities.

Suitable applicants must have:
- Proven experience in a product development or high volume manufacturing environment,
- Familiarity with ATE test methods,
- Experience of setting up and commissioning new test stations and debugging measurement problems.
- Experience within an RF Design or manufacturing environment working with frequencies up to 40GHz.

Skills required:
- Strong LabView skills, experience of TestStand, Knowledge & experience of GPIB, RS232 and I2C communications,
- Ability to create custom instrument drivers from scratch using LabView,
- Experience using ODBC databases.
- Ability to write SQL, use ActiveX, Visual Basic, C++ or C sharpTortoise SVN Version Control.

LabView certification advantageous.
