Quality Engineer Reporting to the Quality Manager, the post holder will assist and maintain the QMS. Monitoring supplier quality and performance and be responsible for improving business KPIs. Take a pro-active role in identifying quality issues, performing root-cause analysis and implementing corrective / preventative measures as appropriate. Coordinate both internal and external audits working with external auditors and organising internal audits Key Tasks: 1. To support the Quality Manager on a wide range of quality issues to ensure compliance to QMS procedures. 2. Carry out quality and environmental audits and inspections throughout manufacturing. 3. Liaising with both suppliers and customers on quality related projects. Ownership and reporting on all quality issues associated with suppliers. Develop SQM and Supplier KPIs. Liaise with purchasing and engineering function to develop and execute Supplier Development Programmes such as: Supplier Sourcing; Supplier Approval; Supplier Management, etc Participate in key supplier monitoring processes which include: Supplier Audits and technical assessments, QSIP Plans, Material Review Board, Supplier Corrective Actions. Liaising with the Manufacturing and Quality Engineers in the Business Units, in assessing and addressing material quality issues. Track supplier quality performance measurements for suppliers (KPIs) and participate in supplier performance reviews. Manage Supplier Change Requests Support Incoming Quality Control (IQC). Coordination of MRB activities to the business unit to ensure the timely assessment of potential non-conforming products. Support risk documentation review activities and ensure that all failure modes in process have been identified and addressed. Skills: Requirements: Quality tools. Expertise in PPAP, 8D and FAI Working in an ISO9001 and ISO14001 environments Understanding of Six Sigma. Diploma/Degree Educated. Background in Electronics. Excellent PC skills MS Office. Excellent analytical, report writing and presentation skills 2-3 years experience in a manufacturing QA role is desirable. Ability to plan, organise, and implement multiple tasks. Full clean driving license. Qualifications: Ideally HNC + Keywords: quality engineer electronics
