Job Title: BI Programme Manager
Location: North East UK, Sunderland area
Permanent: £70k - £90k + benefits
Programme Manager with experience of leading BI/DWH engagements is required by our client to join a high profile customer in the North East (Newcastle/Sunderland area).
This challenging role requires a multitude of experience as it will include additional responsibilities including BI Programme Management, managing a product vendor selection process for an ERP platform, helping architect a transformation programme etc.
To be considered you will naturally have experience in running large applications project. Any experience in the area of enterprise architecture experience and general technology diversity would also be a bonus.
Naturally first class communication skills are essential for this role. Any experience of working with an on/off shore/IT Services model would also be a bonus.

W5 Recruitment are seeking an experienced Engineering Geologist / Geotechnical Engineer for a major international client, to be based in the Tees Valley office.
You will provide geotechnical design and reporting work for a range of interesting projects mainly in the UK. A large proportion of our work involves design of earthworks, foundations and retaining structures. Many of our schemes are multi-disciplinary and will require liaison with project teams of varying complexity and size.
The priorities of this role include: Inputting to the planning, investigation, design, construction and post construction monitoring of geotechnical aspects of projects; Preparing technical notes and geotechnical reports; Delivering geotechnical designs; Tracking of project programmes and delivery dates; Liaising with contractors and clients, both external and internal and supervising ground investigations.
Candidates should be able to exhibit a sound academic knowledge of engineering geology and geotechnical engineering, you will have a high degree of competence in geotechnical design of foundations, slopes, earthworks, retaining structures alongside a sound knowledge of design codes and standards (including EC7).
Experience of using geotechnical design software, particularly slope stability programs such as SlopeW is required, as are planning & organising skills and a commitment to professional and personal self development.
Basic Qualifications
Candidates will have a first degree in Geology, Engineering Geology or Civil Engineering.
In addition candidates will ideally have an MSc in Soil Mechanics / Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology

·Facilitate team development by the effective setting of goals
·Ensure processes needed for the companies Quality Management System are established and maintained at all times
·Achieve KPI’s associated with order input, sales volume by segment, sales margin and business mix shall be the primary means by which the effectiveness of the business manager is measured
·Ensure a forecast on order input in accordance with established company practice and by utilisation of a sales pipeline

Overview

The Project Manager must keep track of multiple success vectors and timelines in a clear, concise and up-to-date way. Through strong software management processes, you will own the schedule and all the information leading into it and relay this to the executive team.
Key Skills and Experience
• Create, manage and accurately track project vehicles including:
o Project schedules
o Detailed project plans
o Risk and issues logs
o Status reports
• Pro-actively manage and motivate team to ensure on-time & on-budget delivery
• Qualification (BA or BSc. level) in a Project Management related discipline, or significant experience in managing and delivering software/IT projects
• Proficient with MS Project or similar software and MS Office applications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work closely with development staff across multiple disciplines to collect up-to-the minute
information on key project metrics
• Manage resource planning and organizational capacity planning
Preferred Skills and Experience

• Working knowledge of Scrum or other Agile development techniques
