Canon Europe's Consumer Imaging Group are currently recruiting for a Product Sales Development Professional - Inkjet Group - to act as liaison between our National Sales Organisations (NSO’s), major European accounts (Corporate & International Accounts - C&IA) and European Product Management. The Sales Development Professional will be responsible for ensuring NSO sales and market share targets are met in line with overall department and company strategy and drive European business for his/her product category by implementing clear product/market/customer strategy, creating targets, supporting business plans, monitoring & reporting markets progress, and taking action when needed.

Responsibilities and Tasks

* Set, monitor, and report on business plan & budget across all NSO’s for product sales and channel sales in line with Product Management Strategy for defined product groups.
* Set and agree NSO and C&IA customer investment plans together with PM team in order for business targets to be met within overall investment budget
* Report weekly and monthly sales forecasting to key stakeholders
* Analyse, review and share market data for each NSO to ensure that our sell out and market share objectives are being met.
* Be the core business support for any product sales issues.

* Ensure excellent communication links between NSO’s, C&IA and PM to ensure common business objectives are met.
* Visit NSO's as required to strengthen communication links and make sure NSO's are following strategy and achieving targets.
* Regular co-ordination with marketing team to ensure marketing development plans are set to be in line with NSO sales objectives and overall marketing strategy is met.
* Regular communication with supply chain team to ensure smooth and timely delivery of stock to NSO and customers

Track and review investment plans through the system with Pricing & Profit team to monitor and control that the investments match against the agreed plan.

* Special focus on developing strategic Pro area to achieve a key MASH goal.
* Pro-actively develop and manage the IJ group tender business.

Monitor sales for total IJ product groups, together with channel and customer to track sales and find opportunities to further develop business targets

* Support team colleagues as needed with key reporting/analysis for their product groups, and be able to fill in as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential requirements:
- Higher Vocational or University education, in Business or related discipline
- Experience as a product manager, retail merchandiser or demand planning highly advantageous
- Ability to create/ interpret/ manipulate complex Excel spreadsheets (intermediate/advanced level)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong numerical competency, including analysis and statistics
- Must demonstrate advanced strategic planning skills
- Experience and comfort in a fast-paced, dynamic market, where decisions must be taken and executed quickly
- Totally fluent English language skills – other European languages desirable
- European travel, including overnight stays, to strengthen communication links and relationships with NSO's

Desirable requirements:
- Sales or Marketing experience in consumer electronics is advantageous but not essential
