1 full time vacancy at HMP Holme House
37 hours per week
Salary £17,120 to £19,140 per annum
1 part time vacancy at HMP Northumberland
7.4 hours every Tuesday
Actual salary £3,424 to £3,828 per annum
Our Client is a national specialist offender learning provider with a wealth of experience in this sector. The role of their Offender Learning Directorate is to develop learning and skills provision, working locally with other partners, to meet the needs of offenders in custody and contributes to the aim of reducing reoffending.
The purpose of these roles is to ensure learners are provided with relevant and easily understood information in relation to the provision of learning and skills within the establishment, and receive continued support. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary approach that seeks to facilitate a smooth transition to the resettlement of the learner into the community.
Candidates must have relevant experience of conducting initial assessments and supporting the learning of individuals and groups with a range of abilities. You must also have experience of successfully working in an effective multi-disciplinary team.
Candidates must also hold a level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy or be willing to gain this qualification within an agreed timescale.
To succeed in these roles, candidates will need to have a pragmatic and non-judgemental approach to their work and the flexibility to adapt to meet learner requirements when necessary.
