Client Facing, Coding wireless PAN like systems in an Embedded environment, experience in developing optimised, Real Time code Application Engineers are the primary technical point of contact between our client and their top-tier customers around the globe; they are charged with ensuring that the customer meets production schedules without any delays. The Application Engineer is responsible for developing strong relationships within the customer at the engineering and management levels. It is the Application Engineer's responsibility to own and drive all customer technical issues to resolution. They are also responsible for program managing their customer projects and ensuring alignment with the company's internal developments. They provide a wide range of support, troubleshooting and consultation services to customers in a variety of areas, including: * RF Design. * Baseband Design. * Layout Guidelines and Review. * Software Development. * System Architecture. * Production and Manufacturing Guidance. * Qualification Assistance. Application Engineers are required to interface directly with the R&D team to help resolve technical issues and drive the addition of new product features for their customers. Application Engineers also provide support the Sales and FAE team with their pre-sales efforts at new customers. Application Engineers are also responsible for creating a wide range of support material, including Application Notes, Design Guides, Reference Design Packs, Development and Evaluation Kits and Technical Whitepapers. Responsibilities 1.Assist customers in developing both on-chip and off-chip Embedded applications based on our clients Wi-Fi SDK environment. 2.Technical ownership of all customer issues related to hardware, software, firmware and tools, but with a focus on Embedded FW and Wi-Fi SDK. 3.Program management of customer projects and alignment with internal plans. 4.Provide design consultation services to customers on a broad range of technical topics related to wireless products. 5.Developing strong relationships with customer engineering and management teams. 6.Ensuring that customers reach production on schedule to accelerate revenues. 7.Interface between customer, sales, marketing, and R&D and operations teams to resolve customer issues as required. 8.Provide on-site customer support often at short notice. 9.Recreate, analyse and resolve customer technical issues. 10.Developing novel approaches to debugging customer issues 11.Create and present technical training courses. 12.Create application notes, demonstration systems and other support collateral. 13.Support Sales and FAE team with technical pre-sales support. Mandatory Skills 1.Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 2.Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. 3.Ability to think creatively to create unique debugging approaches to resolve customer issues. 4.Knowledge of coding wireless PAN like systems in an Embedded environment. 5.Experience configuring wireless systems and knowledge of wireless protocols. 6.Competent in capturing and analysing wireless air-traces. 7.Knowledge of simple scheduler based systems. 8.Experience in developing optimised, Real Time code - written to fit within tight CPU, RAM and code space requirements. 9.On-site customer support experience. 10.Highly motivated self-starter. 11.Interested and able to travel at short notice within the US and internationally. 12.Able to function in a high demand, fast changing environment. Preferred Skills 1.Broad knowledge of various Embedded MCU's, particularly the ARM families. 2.Experience developing with Embedded Linux. 3.Prior experience managing customer programs. 4.Highly inquisitive. 5.Able to work independently and set own direction. 6.Passionate about technology. Education 1.Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science.
