Are you a graduate with a 2:1 or First Class degree that has strong passion to start a Primary PGCE next September?
Do you have some experience, paid or voluntary, working with primary aged children?
Are you looking to work in a paid role an ‘Outstanding’ Primary School in Manchester, as a Teaching Assistant until next summer?
Edustaff has a school looking for you!
***Teaching Assistant
***Year 5 Class
***Central location in Manchester
***January start until July
***£55-£60per day plus offset expenses
***Outstanding. Primary School
This smaller than average mainstream primary school is located in the very heart of urban Manchester, with great transport links to the wider region. It serves a really diverse cross-section of the community, in an area with a high degree of social depravation. Many of the pupils' attainment on entry to the school is very low, particularly in relation to their language development; the proportion of pupils with learning difficulties and/or disabilities is about average, although the number of such pupils has increased in recent years. The number of pupils joining and leaving the school throughout the year is greater than that in most schools.
Despite the schools apparent challenges, it has been a real success story, and has recently been judged as an ‘Outstanding’ school by Ofsted. This is reportedly due to the tremendously effective head and leadership at the school, who have assembled a really passionate team committed to excellence.
Behaviour at the school is exemplary; pupils are courteous, polite and show care and concern for others. They are respectful of their peers and teachers alike, and thoroughly enjoy school.
To be part of this incredible team at this warm and inviting school you’ll need to be passionate and focussed, with a real spark. The school likes doers who are real ‘go getters’, so you’ll need heaps of ambition!
The Head is moving the support staff around in January and wants to interview the right candidate right away, so please don’t delay.
