We are seeking a highly motivated and autonomous Electronic Development Engineer to work with the existing team, delivering new audio product developments from concept into manufacture.
The role is ideal for an ambitious and capable engineer looking for broad experience of the technology and product development cycle, with the opportunity to take on responsibility for product developments at an early stage.
Main tasks
Audio electronic product design from concept to production
Specification development
Audio electronic design
Circuit design and simulation
PCB layout
Able to drive mechanical design tasks, undertaking basic thermal analysis
Project management with small team and external suppliers
Cost analysis
Prototype development, test and evaluation
Transfer to established manufacturing
Experience and skills
Good degree in electronic engineering or similar
While work experience is not essential, the candidate must be able to demonstrate practical application of their technical skills. Experience within a relevant work environment would be an advantage.
Experience of schematic capture and PCB layout

An experienced Senior Electronics Engineer is required for the development of highly complex medical products with a company which is leading the way with pioneering innovations in patient care.
The Senior Electronics Engineer will have responsibility for the design of all electronic elements of the R&D for various complex new products. This will cover the complete development lifecycle, from design brief through to delivery and support.
The technologies employed include FPGA’s, microcontrollers, power supplies, analogue & digital interface circuits, servo driven mechanical positioning systems, sensors and electronic displays.
Senior Electronics Engineer Responsibilities:
* Provide detailed system and circuit level electronic engineering designs to meet project timescales.
* Take lead role in integrating electronic designs with all other project deliverables
* Carry out evaluations and peer revues of prototype designs
* Interface with, and provide support to, all project groups including operations, product management, service engineering, etc
* Ensure that all required engineering documentation has been created and captured
* Ensure that designs are safe and comply with all applicable regulatory standards
Qualifications:
* Experience of Electronics R&D in a regulated environment (eg medical, aerospace, telecoms, defence, etc)
* Proven experience in system design followed through to product release in cross-functional projects
* Proven electronic design experience to detailed circuit level
* Familiarity with electronic CAD tools for analogue/digital design & simulation
* Good appreciation of software, mechanics, electronics and physics
* Knowledge of real-time servo control system theory and mechatronic systems
* Good bachelors or masters degree in relevant engineering or scientific discipline

Qualifications:
* Proficient in the use of 2D/3D CAD tools for the creation of electro-mechanical assemblies using Solidworks, Pro E, AutoCAD, etc (Solidworks preferred). Knowledge of MCAD and ECAD would be advantageous.
* Proven experience in the use of recognized PDM/PLM systems for design control, product release and documentation.
* Familiar with electro-mechanical components and technology
* Knowledge of the capability and workflow of electronic CAD tools
* Experience in fabrication techniques and PCB layout desirable
* Experience of working in new product development employing structures techniques and practices
* Good HND/HNC or equivalent in engineering discipline
* Ability to understand complex systems and product structures
Salary: £30k- £35k + Benefits
