Working for our client an established R&D company specialising in development of modular, low carbon fuel cell systems this role is to apply engineering skills in mechanical design engineering for the development of fuel cell stacks and systems. To lead specific design tasks through delegation from line manager to support the business. Degree level qualification in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, with relevant doctoral or research engineering qualification. Relevant industrial experience of 14 years +.

You MUST have an automotive mechanical design background and able to clearly demonstrate capability of managing both packages of work and small teams in addition to hands on design using Solidworks. 3D CAD software use and proficient drafting of engineering drawings.

Embedded software & DSP developers sought for my client, a UK based Digital Imaging & Video development company. Candidates will be experienced embedded C / DSP software programmers and will have a background in video/imaging such as MPEG or JPEG and will have working in a consumer led handset or camera company.

Embedded software developers sought by my client a growing privately funded organisation, working on cutting edge video imaging devices that are being deployed in household names in areas such as digital cameras, mobile handsets, consumer broadcast equipment, etc.

Due to their continue success they require embedded software engineering staff to further meet their development milestones brought about by new business.

My client produce a range of products for clients in the retail market and the role of this engineer will be to ensure all electrical systems in these products are safe for use.

Client objectives for this role :

To ensure that all goods sold are electrically safe and legally compliant for purpose and to ensure that Artform’s staff are working in a safe manner and working to electrical standards relevant to the industry (BS EN 7671 17th edition and BS EN 60598).

To ensure that the design, sales & purchasing are kept fully updated with new developments in lighting / electrical options in particular to enable us to offer the latest innovations developments in a cost effective way.

To ensure all new options are fully tested and approved in time for production / purchase.

All new or potential products are tested to an internationally recognised standard which applies to the market goods are intended for to ensure are safe and fit for purpose


Qualifications/Requirements:

* Must have detailed working knowledge of 17th Edition wiring regulations.
* HND / ONC Certificate in electrical or electronics engineering.
* Commercially focused with sufficient experience to understand the full potential and impact of proposed changes on cost and functionality of a unit.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Must be a strong team player.
* Solicits feedback and continually reviews and makes changes to existing processes or systems to deliver ongoing performance improvement
* Applies understanding of customer perspectives to create new and innovative approaches.
* Must be computer literate and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* Must be able to read and interpret AutoCAD and SolidWorks drawings.

Within this role you will assist the Registered Manager in achieving the aims and objectives set out in the Statement of Purpose. Deputising in the absence of the Registered Manager, you will ensure that each Young Person has an allocated key worker, making certain staff are aware of each child’s placement plan and their responsibilities for its implementation. Candidates for this role will be educated to GSCE standard and will hold an NVQ 3 in caring for Children & Young People and ideally working towards NVQ 4. Counselling Skills, Drugs Awareness Training and experience of acting as an appropriate adult (PACE) would be desirable, however is not essential.

Team Leader £7.50 p/hr - £10.40 p/hr + Sleep Allowance
