Implementing database solutions and providing final level support to the client base. The role involves administering the existing infrastructure and managing new projects from the initial design to implementation.
The database technologies used include Oracle (10g and 11g), Microsoft SQL (2005, 2008 and 2012) and MySQL. Participation in an on-call rota is required.

Essential Skills:

At least 7 years supporting Oracle database technologies up to 11g
At least 7 years supporting Microsoft SQL technologies up to SQL 2008
Configuration and support of Microsoft SQL mirroring and log shipping solutions
At least 7 years scripting with both Microsoft T-SQL and Oracle PL/SQL

Oracle Developer/DBA urgently required for my dynamic client based in London. Due to a number of system changes that have recently been implemented my client are in need of an all round Oracle developer to help ensure hey are getting the most from their middleware Oracle systems. My client’s technology stack is primarily Oracle on an AS400 system where they are looking to do more reporting and data manipulation with the Oracle systems.

You will also need experience with Access databases, as there are a number of important business functions that run off Access. The ideal solution is to fix the bugs in the Access databases and then work towards a fully integrated Oracle system. Prior experience as an Oracle DBA would be perfect.
