HMP Lincoln is a category B prison, with a maximum capacity of 738 males over 21 years of age located in the centre of the town of Lincoln. The Education Department delivers a diverse range of programmes across the establishment. The College requires an experienced manager, with a proven track record, to lead the education team. This is an exciting and challenging role in which you will need to work in partnership with the prison and the Skills Funding Agency to develop a curriculum to meet students’ needs.
As the successful candidate you will have:
Have proven experience of managing a team of teaching and support staff in either an educational or commercial environment
Have a degree or equivalent vocational qualification and a full teaching qualification (PGCE or Cert Ed)
Have proven experience of successful curriculum development
Have proven experience of implementing and managing quality systems
Have a proven track record of delivering high student success
Have well developed organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
Display energy, drive and an entrepreneurial attitude to work
Have considerable curriculum development experience and be able to articulate an attractive curriculum vision

Here is your chance to utilise your skills and experience on complex IT related business projects. Focusing on the key business analysis components of project delivery – you will make a contribution at a people, process and technology level. Throughout your varied activities, you will work closely with project sponsors, project teams and third-party suppliers.
A successful and demonstrable track record of acting as a senior business analyst on multiple internal and external complex small, medium and large projects is essential. Commercial awareness and capable of eliciting and documenting clear concise and accurate requirements. Demonstrating a high degree of gravitas and able to communicate effectively, and confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
Ideally educated to degree level with relevant recognised professional Business Analysis qualifications. A good understanding of project methodologies (PRINCE2, APM) and experience of delivering within IT related environments would be of benefit; you will ideally bring an understanding of working with clients in local government.
Summary of skills required:
- Degree level education or equivalent experience
- Previous Business Analysis experience at senior level (leading junior BA's)
- Experience working on a variety of IT related business projects
- Experience managing 3rd party suppliers
- Prince2, ITIL, ISEB, APM awareness (ideally certified)
- Public sector/ local government industry experience
- Commercial awareness
