ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE FITTER / TECHNICIAN

£27,000 to £28,000, plus bonus / overtime, plus pension scheme.

As part of the engineering division, your role as Electrical Maintenance Fitter / Technician within the multi-functional engineering / TPM team is vital to the smooth and uninterrupted running of the plant, and will directly contribute to overall cost benefits, quality and efficiency of the factory.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for providing plant wide maintenance service and mechanical repairs, to the highest possible standards, while adhering to the principals of 5s, and applying TPM tools and techniques to help promote continuous improvement throughout the factory.

Working to a regular afternoon / evening shift, in addition to the above, your broad range of duties will include:

* Implementing PPM systems.

* Design, fabrication and machining of parts and structures.

* Departmental support.

* Daily liaison with Engineering Manager / Shift Team Leader.

Flexible, self motivated and able to work on your own initiative, you will be a multi-skilled 17th edition qualified electrical engineer, with a recognised engineering qualifications / apprenticeship, ideally with a knowledge of Siemens S7 PLC fault finding, and a strong appreciation of health & safety.

Your experience as an Electrical Maintenance Fitter / Maintenance Technician / Maintenance Engineer could have been gained in any manufacturing sector, but you must be prepared to work in a industrial factory environment, and possess a knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatics systems, and a reasonable degree of computer literacy.
