Our client, a FTSE 100 company, is looking for commercially minded individuals to act in a project accounting function for their capital programme. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a progressive company during an exciting period of change. The role is based in Leeds, will last a minimum of 6 months and is paying a daily rate of between £160 and £200 dependent on experience.
Key deliverables include:
• Ensuring that project forecasts are at all times thorough and fully considered
• Supporting audits where required, including analysing of monthly cost reports
• Liaising with project teams to prepare and analyse the estimated costs at completion
• Ensuring that projects are accurately entered on SAP and that effective controls are in place
• Liaising with internal and external auditors for all financial matters relating to projects
• Raising financial implications associated with all project variations and risk
• Forecasting and providing detailed MI
In order to be considered for this position you must be a qualified accountant, be studying towards final level or be able to demonstrate solid experience working at a professional level. Experience of working in a project accounting environment and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously is essential.
