Our Client is currently the largest national provider of Offender Learning in the UK; their highly qualified employees are fully trained in security arrangements in order for them to deliver a responsive curriculum within prisons across England 52 weeks a year.

With this is mind, they are currently seeking to appoint a full-time Student Support Worker at HMYOI Wetherby.

The purpose of this role is to ensure learners are provided with relevant and easily understood information in relation to the provision of learning and skills within the establishment, and receive continued support. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary approach that seeks to facilitate a smooth transition to the resettlement of the learner into the community.

Candidates must have relevant experience of conducting initial assessments and supporting the learning of individuals and groups with a range of abilities. You must also have experience of successfully working in an effective multi-disciplinary team.

Candidates must also hold a level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy or be willing to gain this qualification within an agreed timescale.

To succeed in this role, candidates will need to have a pragmatic and non-judgemental approach to their work and the flexibility to adapt to meet learner requirements when necessary.

They are now recruiting for a temporary Programme Team Leader to cover maternity leave within the Childcare team. This role is key in helping to develop and deliver high quality, learner focused education to meet contractual requirements and standards in line with TMC policies and procedures.

You will work with the Divisional Lead Manager and Curriculum Lead Managers in the management of resources and budgets to meet the needs of the provision utilising data available to you and your knowledge of the programme area. Although this is a leadership position, the role also requires you to teach students by supporting the delivery and assessment of learning, developing lesson plans to ensure compliance with curriculum best practice and quality targets and supporting tutors across the division.

As well as teaching, the Team Leader needs to coordinate and manage the Childcare course and staff as a whole, ensuring they’re always delivering the highest quality of teaching and always keeping in line with best practice. You must contribute to and develop a curriculum that embraces both the community within the city and meets local and national priorities, assisting with training on curriculum innovation and growth in terms of partnerships with other established educational institutions.

Candidates for this role must hold a teaching / assessing qualification (as appropriate) coupled with a subject specialist qualification at Level 4 (Level 5 – new standards) with a commitment to obtain the relevant outstanding Level 4 (Level 5 – new standards) qualification within a specified timescale if you do not already hold this. Above all you must have a track record of teaching within this subject specialism.

The successful applicant must posses;

BPCA/RSPH Level 2 Qualification
Additional industry training is desirable (Kilgerm, Marksman etc)
Educated to GCSE level with good numeracy and literacy skills
A Full UK driving license with less than 6 points
Previous pest control experience is desirable but not essential
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to work to own initiative and as part of a team

Duties within this role will include;

Deliver a quality inspection and treatment service to exceed customer expectation and specification.
Provide customers with written evidence of service delivered and advice for maintaining pest free conditions,
Upsell products and services and/or refer sales enquiries for leads to Account Executives.
Mix and apply pesticides in accordance with label recommendations and comply with relevant legislation.
Plan works routes efficiently and productively and achieve 100% state of service.
Accurately submit such information, reports and other paperwork as required at specified time intervals.

Although you will predominantly be based in the Greater Manchester area, some travel may be required dependent on client requirements. Because of this a full UK driving licence will be essential along with a flexible approach to working hours as some duties may be carried out outside of normal working hours.
