Project Manager, Software Project Manager, Product Manager, PMO. Due to a period of expansion, new projects and an acquisition my client now seeks a Project Manager to compliment their existing team. The successful person will ideally have worked in a software business or have a software background. You will possess project management experience ideally with a formal accreditation such as Prince. This role will provide project management and PMO expertise to the product management team overseeing key strategic product projects which will be both internally and externally focussed.
The Project Management role will include close interaction with Product Development, Service Desk, Consultancy, Marketing Communications and Sales Management. The role will require travel to our other offices, attendance on client site at customer and supplier meetings. Candidates must be willing and able to travel as required in the UK.
The role is a formal project management function and requires experience of delivering IT projects. This is a key strategic role and will have a direct bearing on my client's ability to bring new products to market in a timely and successful manner.
Key Responsibilities will include
o Manage key strategic projects instigated by the product management team these will be both internal and externally focused.
o Liaise with the service delivery teams within the business to ensure successful delivery of projects
o Create and maintain Project Initiation Documents, Project Plans, Risk Registers and issues logs etc as required
o Act as the primary point of control for key projects reporting progress, driving delivery to time and budget, reporting to the client project manager as appropriate.
o Introduce, maintain and manage PMO functions within the Product Directorate.

* To manage projects so as to ensure that the customer is happy to place future business with the company
