Exciting opportunity – Project Manager - Surveillance Systems – 1 year Fixed contract

Our client has a reputation for excellence in durable, lightweight, precision engineered instruments and low power motorised platforms and associated products currently require a Project Manager to manage and deliver both internally funded and externally funded development programmes in accordance with agreed budgets and timescales as defined by the Business Director

Duties and Responsibilities:

To take ownership of assigned projects and work with the engineering and operations teams, subcontractors and customers to deliver successful project outcomes in accordance with the company’s ISO9001 procedures, agreed budgets and timescales.

This will include:

* setting clear objectives for the project teams;
* preparing and monitoring work plans for staff and teams to deliver the objectives;
* managing and controlling project documentation;
* managing and controlling the project phase review process;
* proactively monitoring project progress to provide timely warnings of any potential problems and associated solutions; and
* Reporting project progress to the Business Director and Senior Management Team on a routine basis.

For customer funded projects:

* To manage projects so as to ensure that the customer is happy to place future business with the company
* To support the Business Director Systems and Sales & Marketing Teams to secure follow on business; and
* To represent the company in a professional manner with customers at all times.
* To assist the Business Directors to identify training or development needs for project staff.
* To work with the Business Director and Sales & Marketing Team to generate costed proposals for new business.
* To carry out any other related tasks as may be requested from time to time by the Business Director

Additional Info

* This is a contract position being offered for one year only with a start date of possibly mid-June.
* Would consider relocation expenses for the right candidate.
* Package will depend on experience but is likely to be in the range 50-60K

A leading client now requires a PCI Project Manager to ensure the delivery of the PCI Information Security work streams:Scanning and Testing, Data Cleansing guidance, Third party PCI Compliance and Threat and Vulnerability Management. Our client has a team of globally experienced ecologists and environmental managers, with expertise in ecological assessment, environmental management planning, conservation and project management. They support the integrated management of land, water and living resources that promotes conservation and the sustainable use.

They now have a vacancy for an Ecologist to join a diverse team of highly talented, motivated and hard-working ecologists and landscape architects based at their Kent office.

The job will entail site visits to assess general and specific ecological issues; writing subsequent reports on site visits, working collaboratively on environmental impact assessments, attending meetings with agencies on behalf of clients and liaising with voluntary groups. Work may also include managing specialist sub-contractors.

As an Ecologist you will carry out the following duties:

-Undertaking Phase 1 Habitat Surveys and Phase 2 Protected Species Surveys, including data requests
-Producing ecological assessment reports and advising clients on mitigation
-Overseeing mitigation for protected species such as badgers, great crested newts and reptiles
-Ecological clerk of works
-Producing ecology sections of BREEAM and CSH assessments

You should have 2 years relevant work experience, and a BSc in Ecology or a closely related subject.. Experience of working with bats, badgers and great crested newts preferred, including appropriate licences, and an Associate membership of IEEM are essential. Ideally you will have considerable experience of protected species survey and mitigation. You should be proficient in client, project and staff management with a flexible can-do attitude.
