My Client, a top FTE100 company is looking for highly talented C++ engineers across various small, fast paced team within sites in Guildford, London and Leeds.
In this role you will be responsible for;
Designing, developing, integrating, testing and debugging applications, principally in C++.
Supporting, maintaining and documenting software functionality
Do requirements analysis, liaising with both internal and external stakeholders
Working on performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability and automation.
Evaluating and identifying new technologies for implementation
Be involved in customer-facing delivery as well as business development
Developing innovative solutions and technical 'white papers' and accompanying commercial proposals
Work both independently and within a wider team with minimal supervision
Review, maintain and if necessary repair legacy code
Integrate new software with existing systems
Essential skills and experience
Excellent C++, including practical experience of using the Standard Template Library (STL)
Good grasp of networking fundamentals (for NI positions)
Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment
Ability to learn new programming languages quickly
Ability to determine whether a particular problem is caused by hardware, operating systems software, application programs, or network failures
Ability to perform work-breakdown/decomposition into suitably sized deliverable work packages
Highly desirable skills and experience
C++ design patterns
C++ templates
Practical experience of multi-threading in C++
Knowledge of the Boost software libraries
Solid Linux development experience (experience of gcc and gdb)
Scripting languages – e.g. Ruby, Python, Bash, Javascript
Knowledge/experience of test driven development (TDD)
Previous usage of automated build and continuous integration suites
Previous experience working in an Agile/Scrum development team
Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate that they are highly motivated problem-solvers with a strong desire to approach a problem in a hands-on manner. Candidates will be expected to have excellent team working abilities and be able to quickly learn and apply new technologies.
Security clearance (SC) is required for this role - candidates should already have, or be capable of obtaining UK SC clearance.

My client is seeking an experienced and passionate Business Intelligence Developer to join them as a key contributor on an exciting and ambitious new title. The ideal candidate is someone who has proven experience in designing and implementing Business Intelligence Solutions from large volume/high velocity sources using Microsoft technologies. The role will focus on delivering data warehousing and analysis features, ensuring data accuracy and providing analytics capability to a variety of business users.

Key Accountabilities:
• Contribute to technical design and implementation of Business Intelligence solutions, including Data Warehouses, SQL Server Integration Services, Analysis Services
• Work closely with the Design, Production and Programming teams to define data analytics requirements for game features
• Ensuring high quality, integrity and performance of the systems used for business analytics
• Assist planning and delivering service infrastructure to support future business needs
• Identify security and privacy concerns and ensure they are accounted for by the Business Intelligence solutions
• Implement data visualisation and reporting systems

Key Success Criteria:
• Technical design of Business Intelligence solutions documented and communicated to the relevant teams and leads before full production begins
• Game features are well-supported by Business Intelligence during Production, ensuring that required solutions are delivered in time for key project milestones
• Key stakeholders have access to accurate and reliable data in a timely fashion
• Solutions meet performance and scalability expectations during and after Production
• Business Intelligence capability can be added rapidly in response to new features or market demands

Essential Experience
• Proven experience of implementing Business Intelligence Solutions from high volume data sources using Microsoft SQL Server technologies (SQL Server Integration Services 2008/2012, SQL Server Analysis Services, SQL Server Reporting Services)
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2008/2012) on multiple projects
• Experience implementing self-service Business Intelligence solutions
• Performance tuning of large scale Data Warehouses, OLAP cubes and reporting solutions
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical individuals
• Working in an Agile/SCRUM environment as part of a multidisciplinary team

Desirable Experience
• Previous experience delivering Business Intelligence Solutions on at least one released AAA game title, or large scale software system
• Big Data experience; such as Hadoop and MapReduce technologies, etc
• MCITP (2008) or MCSE (2012) qualification in Business Intelligence
• Passion for playing Online/Multiplayer/MMO games
• Cloud platform experience (Azure, SQL Azure, Azure Table Storage, Amazon EC2, etc)
• Evaluation and implementation of third-party tools and components where appropriate
