They have over 50 years' experience in providing engineering solutions, designed, manufactured and tested at one of their worldwide sites. Reporting directly to the Operation Director of the PWT, with a dotted line to the Group Technical Director, this role enjoys significant responsibility. You will generate process designs for both equipment based projects and consultancy assignments, again producing P&IDs, PFDs, data sheets and control philosophy. In addition to creating, checking and approving design calculations to verify the solution to meets the design requirements and standards; together with technical specifications and procedures. You will also assist in sales activities, generating PFDs, P&IDs, technical and commercial proposals and accurate costings. The role will be part of a the Process Engineering team, supporting and verifying each other's work, visiting off-shore sites in a variety of locations, commissioning work as required and assisting in the preparation of design standards. As the ideal candidate you will be a qualified process engineer, with significant experience gained particularly in the; Chemical, Oil, Gas or Petro-Chemical industries. You will be comfortable trouble shooting or commissioning on site alongside clients, or as part of the office team in Gloucestershire depending upon project needs. Key responsibilities
• Generating new designs for a variety of bespoke military products and aerospace testing projects.
• Taking ownership of/contributing to the electronics design, development and future growth of our new products.
• Implementing current product enhancements and contributing to the expansion of the existing product range into new platforms and new technologies.
• Working with the whole team and the customer to capture and derive new product requirements.
• Liaising with all other areas of the business as necessary to guarantee project success.
• Taking as much of the design as you feel capable with from customer requirements through design & development to production. There are no boundaries to your involvement in the design process.
Essential Skills
• A broad general cross sectional knowledge of Analogue, Digital, Programmable Logic and Microprocessor design techniques etc, with strength in at least one area. A willingness to learn new areas of electronic design.
• The ability to generate new concepts and ideas as well as liaising with external specialist research teams working on the forefront of some of our designs.
• Able to demonstrate an application of engineering science in the practical world.
• Good design process, simulation, analytical, mathematical and report writing skills.
• Experience of measurement and instrumentation design techniques or interfacing with a variety of transducers.
• The ability to team with our PCB layout specialists to provide designs that have good signal integrity and EMC performance.
Additional Beneficial Skills
• Familiarity with intrinsic safety, thermal and environmental design techniques.
• Experience of the design of ruggedized customer test equipment to EMC and ATEX standards.

Overview

Be responsible for the budgeting and planning of the organisation along with weekly forecasting. Complete pre and post capital expenditure reviews to determine whether to proceed and also in order to gain approval. Implement performance measures for the finance department and create an improvement culture. Provide support and development for team members. Implement product line reviews to maintain performance focus, understanding and control. Participate in audits as and where necessary Participate in Finance HSE, risk assessments, walk arounds etc Lead any integration projects that may come up from a finance perspective Participate in group projects in particular the building of a group wide ERP business intelligence system already ongoing.
5 years post qualified (ACCA/CIMA).
Salary & Benefits
£55,000 - £60,000 plus 15% Bonus, Pension & PMI.
