My client is a global entity with a worldwide presence. Due to some big contract wins and new project launches they are now looking to add a storage specialist to their team. As a storage specialist you will be responsible for providing support, provisioning, maintenance and administration in a large and diverse storage Platform. Duties include - Maintaining a stable environment for the technical platform - Providing capacity for the technical platforms supported - Daily monitoring of the local platform and infrastructure - Highlighting issues and escalations as needed - Raising service requests, and dealing with vendor 4th line support - Reporting on capacity and usage in an accurate and timely fashion - Following local process of managing incidents and work requests - Implementing designs & configuration changes - Performing routine maintenance and housekeeping functions - Scheduling and performing upgrades and enhancements as needed - Update and maintain any topology and/or configuration documentation as appropriate - Comply with Asset Management and Procurement procedures as appropriate Skills Required - EMC Certified Storage Professional - Experience of Operations support - Administrator of EMC Symmetrix, CLARiiON and CELERRA. - Experienced in SAN Hardware/Software configuration. - Supporting EMC Control Centre and PowerPath - Cisco MDS Fabric Enterprise Directors and Switches - Production of technical documentation - Troubleshooting Skills equivalent to 2nd and 3rd line A market leading salary + benefits and career progression is on offer for the right candidate. A Principal Bridge Engineer is required by a global leading consultancy in Glasgow due to an increase in workload across the Central Belt. This consultancy operates across several sectors such as highways and transportation, local authorities, health & education and utilities.
The Principal Bridge Engineer will be expected to provide support to the Bridge Structures team through providing advice on the design, operations and maintenance of new and existing trunk roads. The successful candidate will have a solid working knowledge of relevant technical standards such as the DMRB and be capable of using relevant softwares. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of interacting between an existing team and client in order to ensure successful delivery of projects. In addition, the successful candidate will have a broad range of experience within all aspects of highways engineering.
