Project Manager – Business Change / IT – This is an excellent opportunity to manage the delivery of change projects for this £350m turnover, 400 staff group structured Professional Services company nr. Fareham. Paying £45-£55k + car allowance + benefits.

The Project Manager will be responsible for the delivery of work products as part of wider business change initiatives to maximise business benefit. The Project Manager sets project plans and manages day-to-day delivery, reports on project progress and will act as the first point of contact for any project issues and will take responsibility for their timely resolution.

The scope of project delivery work undertaken by the Project Manager within the team will encompass all business change areas where the need to have project management is deemed necessary. There will be scope for the successful candidate to build a business PMO function to support the business.

Experience required -

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in order to build relationships both within the PMO and with change partners around the business.
- Substantial Full Life Cycle Project Management experience including exposure to PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMI, MSP, AGILE
- Large scale technology systems implementation experience (IT/CRM/Portals)
- Strong eye for detail to ensure that scope & deliverables are accurately defined and collectively understood
- Proactive Stakeholder manager with a ‘no surprises’ approach and manage conflict resolution to gain consensus.
- Strong planner and with ability to spot tenuous links and dependencies
- Comfortable with challenging resource estimates and understanding the necessary detail to support thereafter
- Ability to dive in to detail and drive problem resolution when required
- Comfortable working in a fast paced and changeable environment
- Strong team values, recognises the value of a positive team environment and contributes to the creation of this.
- Good coaching, training and inter-personal skills – the roles involves exerting influence more than direct control
- Ability to rapidly and thoroughly understand the environment in which they will operate (people, applications, technology, process)
- Good liaison / relationship building within both Business and Systems functions and with external Suppliers.
- High Drive - must thrive on pressure and react positively to change.

Description of Role

The role will be mainly to execute test scripts. Writing of some scripts may also be required. The role will require a methodical approach with attention to detail. The successful applicant will have experience in networks (Cisco Ethernet architecture, switches, routers and configuration etc) and testing.
·  A sound appreciation of the underlying principles of software engineering for complex safety-related systems.
· Sound knowledge of the principles of software testing.
· Experience of developing manual and/or automated test scripts from test specifications.
· Experience of executing test scripts and raising problem reports.
· Knowledge of Cisco Ethernet architecture, switches, routers and configuration.
· A willingness to learn new tools, techniques, and languages.
· An ability to think analytically, rigorously and creatively.
· An ability to carry out detailed justified work to commercial and technical requirements, and to be able to constructively criticise and assess others’ work.
· The ability and personal drive to work in teams or alone, with client and Altran staff.
· Knowledge of industry-standard tools and techniques, and a critical appreciation of their strengths and weaknesses.
· Ideally one or more of Ada, C, Python, Perl, Ruby, UNIX shell scripting.
· Experience of a Microsoft Office working environment.
· Likely to be highly customer-focused and to be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a range of technical and commercial audiences.
· Expected to work to set budgets for tasks – whether these are self-defined or set by a manager.
· The assignment is commercially sensitive – staff are expected to work to non-disclosure agreements and best-practices with regards to sensitive information.
