The Quality Engineer will be responsible for providing support for all the European warranty and quality issues for starter motors and alternators including:

* Following processes in warranty teardown, analysis and documentation and presenting this to our tier 1 customers.
* Liaising with UK and European parts recall centres to analyse and test warranty return parts. Document all findings, create detailed reports on new and ongoing issues.
* Analyse and document all faults on parts and arrange for shipping to India and UK for further testing. Accumulation of test results and feedback to customers.
* Supporting pre-production issues across Europe. Organize containment and corrective actions accordingly.
* Assist the team with 8D processes relating to quality improvements ICA and PCA issues. Following criteria's in FMEA DV and PV processes.
* Co-ordinate and support testing with testing companies.

Candidates for the role of Quality Engineer should be educated to a minimum of HND/HNC level in an engineering subject with experience in the following:

* Automotive component investigation and testing
* Use of Dyno cells
* Dismantling and re-build of automotive system and components

Leading Housing Association looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to join their large and busy Finance team, reporting directly to the Group Finance Manager.


The successful candidate will supervise 4 Payroll Processors and 1 Payroll Accountant and will be required to split their time between the office in London (City) and the office in Essex (near Basildon). Probably 3 days in Essex, 2 in London. Therefore this role is very much suited to people who live in or can commute to Essex.


Duties

•Take full responsibility for the running of the payroll service for the group ensuring all payments are processed accurately and in a timely manner and all queries are dealt with
• Manage and develop the payroll team


•Develop a strong strategic presence within the Finance and HR teams
• Analyse review and document current payroll operating procedures to ensure compliance, best practice and ensuring the most efficient methods are employed


•Manage the relationships with 3rd party providers including the former outsourced payroll provider and benefits providers, ensuring accurate information is provided and received and all payments are met and accounted for
• Liaising with pension providers and external providers re Auto enrolment

•Take full responsibility for payroll tax matters, managing communication with HMRC, auditors and other relevant bodies, including PAYE Settlement Agreement, Benefit in Kind issues, and HMRC dispensations along with a detailed understanding of potential PAYE/NI effects of non-payroll staff benefits in conjunction with Tax team


•Ensure all statutory and occupational payments are made, recovered and monitored



•Produce, submit and reconcile all relevant payroll reports including month end, year end, P11d’s, P60’s, P35’s etc


•Participation in projects relating to payroll or affecting payroll



Requirements:
•Candidates must have solid Payroll experience, managing a full payroll cycle
•Candidates must have worked in a very high volume processing environment
•Experience of managing at least 3 staff is essential
•Ability to get to both Essex and London essential
•Relevant payroll qualification desirable not essential
•Ability to produce manual payroll calculations with sound knowledge of tax and NI as well as liaising with HMRC, auditors and other third parties
•demonstrable knowledge of upcoming legislative changes


The successful candidate will be required to split their time between the office in London (City) and the office in Essex (near Basildon). Probably 3 days in Essex, 2 in London. Therefore this role is very much suited to people who live in or can commute to Essex.
