A market leading organisation based in Bournemouth, Hampshire is currently looking for a Senior Business Analyst to work within their Business Process Transformation Programme.
Line Management experience is essential. Up to £40k + 5k car + benefits
As as Lead Business Analyst you will work within key projects and programmes to deliver a complex Business Process Transformation Programme
You will be responsible to lead a small team of Business Analysts, taking responsibility for all aspects of line management including workload planning, performance management and personal development.
The Lead Business Analyst will take responsibility for rapidly building a business analysis centre of excellence that will enable us to make the desired step change in process and systems performance. This responsibility will include the introduction and update of appropriate methodologies and best practices with particular emphasis on process improvement expertise (i.e. process analysis, design and re-engineering). The training, development and coaching of the Business Analyst team and other key personnel to adopt the new standards will also form part of the responsibility.
Essential skills/ experience and qualifications include:
- Degree educated or equivalent experience
- Experience working as a Business Analyst on Target Operating Model Design and Business Process Transformation projects
- LEAN / Six Sigma
- Project shaping and business case development
- Business Requirements Definition processes and techniques
- Full Systems Development Lifecycle
- Different systems delivery methodologies (including Waterfall and Agile)
- Prince 2 project management methodology (ideally Prince2 certified)
- Ideally ISEB Business Analyst qualified
In addition to these skills, we are looking for a strong team player who is capable of working under their own direction and proactively taking the lead when appropriate. Candidates must have a good track record of building and sustaining effective working relationships with business stakeholders and supply functions (such as IT, Training and 3rd party suppliers), conveying levels of knowledge and professionalism to breed confidence. They must also have strong influencing skills and be willing and able to challenge the status quo in a way that is both constructive and focused on the business objectives. Strong communication skills are essential.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate previous line management experience and will have held Business Analyst roles (or similar) for a significant part of their career

· Interviewing candidates for software engineering roles;
· Contributing towards the development of engineering processes and standards within the engineering teams;
· Supporting the QA objectives of the organisation by ensuring that appropriate control strategies are developed and maintained within the engineering groups.
· Managing and Motivating international teams and assisting with problem solving
· Ensuring projects are completed on time and on budget
· Constantly reviewing the processes used and skills of the team with a view to continuously improving the speed and cost of the development process

What do I need to qualify for this job?
· Degree or higher in Computer Science
· Member of a relevant professional organization (IET / BCS and CITP / CEng)
· Strong knowledge of systems development tools and relevant middleware. Demonstrable ability to rapidly appraise new technologies and assess relevance to technology and product roadmaps.
Essential Technical Knowledge:

· Project planning methodology – knowledge of MS Project
