My Client is looking for a Bid Engineer to lead the bid process and bid team activities for all OE and Aftersales enquiries to ensure the provision of a high quality order winning proposal document in line with the timescales agreed with clients.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
¨ Leading the bid process and bid team activities for all OE and Aftersales enquiries
¨ Execution of the order realisation strategy developed for each prospect assigned.
¨ Analysing of RFQ package requirements to ensure organised competitive approach in response to client’s requirements and our corporate interests.
¨ Review of client’s commercial terms and conditions and preparing necessary exceptions
¨ Management of the bid approval process in line with Company requirements
¨ Co-ordination of the enquiry review process, ensuring all technical and commercial exceptions are addressed
¨ Crafting high quality order winning proposal documents for each enquiry
¨ Ensuring relevant inputs from professional experts such as legal experts, production personnel and subject experts are taken into account when agreeing to Terms and conditions, penalty clauses, lead times, scopes of work and the likes
¨ Contract negotiations with clients
¨ Keeping regional sales engineers informed of details relating to bid activity in their territories
¨ Maintain those databases, reports and records necessary to support departmental management activities.
¨ Participate in the definition and implementation of sales strategy.
¨ Support the activities of the regional sales engineers to ensure consistency and continuity in relationships with global clients
¨ Participate in the promotion and marketing of all products and services via activities such as face to face meetings, sales presentations and attendance at trade shows.
¨ Advise on resource and capability levels within the department with reference to sales activities.
¨ Assist in recruitment, selection and effective induction and integration of new members to the department.
