Objective: * Work closely with all project stakeholders as required to deliver a quality product that meets the projects goals. * Ensure that the software complies with company security policies and processes. * Operate effectively as part of an agile development team; ensure that knowledge is shared in a timely and appropriate manner, work as a unit to complete the agreed development artefacts. * Analyse business requirements. * Analyse existing software systems for suitability in meeting business requirements. * Design software solutions, within the context of an existing IT landscape.Define the required tasks to implement given software requirements. * Estimation of requirements and tasks.Implement high quality software solutions using a .NET and Oracle toolset. * Work to agreed coding standards. * Produce all required system documentation, and process artefacts. * Comply with change control procedures. * Participate in code reviews in an open and honest manner. * Ensure that software solutions are tested in accordance with the Test Leads strategy and process. * Be prepared to produce test plans, carry out test plans and produce automated tests if necessary. * Assist in the prioritisation of bug reports. * Manage bug reports to completion. * Research and make technology recommendations (including planning for upgrades of existing technology). * Give presentations to other team members if required, to share understanding of the business, technology or knowledge of the system. * Give system demonstrations to the wider project team. * Provide recommendations concerning issues of programmer productivity and software development management, and participate in retrospectives to improve the process. * Identify tasks which would benefit from automation and automate them. * Share experience and teach or mentor co-workers, formally or informally. * Endeavour to meet agreed schedules and provide early feedback if the schedule is at risk Deliverables: * The analyst/developer is accountable to the Development Manager to ensure that development effort and quality can be managed. * The analyst/developer is accountable to the Test Lead to ensure that the work performed aligns with and can be monitored by the agreed testing process Key Skills .Net and Oracle Analyst/Development Pay Rate Details �42 - �47 per hour Ltd Capita Resourcing welcome applications from all suitably qualified people regardless of gender, race, disability, age or sexual orientation. Embedded Linux Developer - Carlisle
New role based near Carlisle for a skilled Embedded C Linux developer with a growing company that specialises in control room solutions for the emergency services.
Applicants for this role need to be experienced engineers with good C/C++, Embedded Linux development expertise. It would also be beneficial to have knowledge of Python, RTP-Voice, SIP, Audio processing and hardware integration expertise.
This company is in quite a remote location and so will only suit someone who can drive and who does not mind travelling to work.
