Java Software Developer – Chippenham/Manchester – Java, SQL - £27,000 - £34,000 + bens
A new opportunity for a Java Developer to join a rapidly growing software company as part of a dynamic Software development team. A starting salary of £27,000 - £34,000 is offered along with a great benefits package.
Due to continued growth our client are now expanding their Software development team and are looking for an experienced Java Developer to contribute to the programming output of the team.
The successful applicant will be working together with the rest of the development team producing new features and enhancements for a variety of products. You will be responsible for implementing high quality code as well as reviewing code developed by others. You will also contribute to defect investigation/resolution and design documentation.
Applicants will come from a software development background and have experience in Object-oriented software design. Strong Java and SQL skills are essential, with previous knowledge of, or exposure to, Eclipse or NetBeans. Previous experience of unit testing is also essential, along with the ability to redesign or re-factor code. Additional skills in SOAP, Spring, XML or ANT/Maven would be desirable but not essential.
