Following a substantial period of growth and product development, an opportunity has arisen within a multi-national Retail and Distribution Group for a Retail Analyst to undertake responsibility for the development of the reporting of business critical information to assist the business in achieving it’s strategic objectives.

Reporting to the Finance Director, specific duties of the position will include the development and implementation of new KPI’s; provision of trend, sales, margin and stock analysis; assisting in the improvement of stock and inventory controls to maximise efficiency of stock holding levels and obsolete stock to aid cash flow; assisting with the Budgeting and Forecasting processes, both monthly and annually.

As a newly created position all applicants must be able to demonstrate their abilities to work under their own initiative and develop and implement new processes to assist the business. The interaction with the wider business necessitates that excellent communication and negotiation skills are also essential.

Ideally you will:

The role:

Day to day management of Finance function; Running month end close and reporting process; Managing cash-flows; ensuring invoice processing is up to date; Monitoring and reporting on results vs. forecast and budget; Ensuring all statutory returns are submitted on time.

Key tasks:

Overseeing AR function
Overseeing AP function including approval of AP payments
Overseeing Inter-co accounts
Overseeing Fixed Asset register
Overseeing GL transactions
Monitoring Inventory levels
Continuous tracking of revenue vs. forecast
Cash-flow management and forecasting
Month end close activities and reporting
Monitoring and reporting on department spend levels
Preparing Budgets and forecasts
Ensuring statutory returns are submitted on time
Oversee T&E Expense processing and compliance with Company Travel Policy
Arrange bank Guarantees, Letters of Credit & Performance Bonds;
Review and approve monthly payroll processing
Liaise with professional advisors
Various Ad Hoc Requests from Director of Finance
