Our client is a successful, 11-18 mixed comprehensive school based in Essex.
They are looking to appoint an A-Level Geography Teacher to start on a full-time contract from September 2013.
The successful candidate should hold a recognised teaching qualification and knowledge of KS5 Geography will be a bonus.
The school has an 11 form entry and received an excellent Ofsted report in 2007.
There are three full time and two part-time Geographers teaching within the Department. The Department has four specialist rooms. The Geography Department is well resourced and a variety of teaching methods are utilised. These involve the use of a range of text books, interactive white board, videos, and field studies using different field equipment, games and simulations.
The Geography Department is extremely successful. Recent examination results have been 89% A* - C at GCSE and 100% at A Level.
Interviews are taking place as soon as a suitable candidate is found.

Working on customers Engineering Programme this role is to delivery the learning objectives of the customers Higher Apprenticeship Programme by delivering assessment to students at undergraduate level in Engineering Leadership level 4 NVQ (EAL), through practical assignments and seminars. Develop Engineering Leadership NVQ (EAL) level 4 teaching materials, methods and approaches, in partnership with the University. Obtain and analyse feedback on own teaching design and delivery to facilitate this. Investigate innovative teaching, learning and assessment methods and techniques in the sector, and pedagogic research generally, bringing new insights to the companies engineering higher apprenticeship curriculum. Contribute to the efficient management and admin of the Higher Apprenticeship programme by performing University contract management duties as allocated. Manage and coordinate all activities around student selection and recruitment, including liaising with the recruitment team, running assessment centres through to induction onto the programme. Reporting back to customer performance and metrics to the Project Executive.
You will need PhD/postgraduate degree or equivalent professional qualification and experience in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. A level Grades B and above in English, Maths, Science or equivalent. Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), High level of Vehicle / Powertrain experience/competence. D32/D33/A1/TAQA. D34/V1 advantageous. Customer service L2/3. Management experience. Full UK driving licence.
