The Business Analyst role will be working on a large IT and business transformation programme compiling a large number of individual IT, software and systems projects. The successful applicant will be working closely with project sponsors and internal stakeholders, gathering business and IT requirements, chairing steering meetings, analysing and mapping current and ‘and is’ business processes utilising tools (such Visio, Enterprise Architect), following a structured methodology (such as ISEB, Prince 2 etc).

ROLE:
Integral to delivering bug-free website for flythomascook.com, the Test Analyst will own, drive and execute all manual testing tasks within the testing process life-cycle for the development of flythomascook.com. This may also include testing of other group airline websites.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Creation of Test Plans for assigned project; creation of test cases at user story level for specific work stream, in accordance with the test plan, in a timely fashion to support agile methodology and project timelines.
b) Execution of test cases to the Test Plan.
c) Ensure JIRA is kept up to date at all times with latest testing activity, in line with required standards.
d) Attend and actively contribute to agile artefacts as part of the agile development team ie planning games, daily scrums, show & tells, retrospectives.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Experience of Usability testing, experience of cross browser testing, proven experience of manual testing, experience of testing using agile scrum practices.
b) Sound understanding of Agile Development methodology.
c) Experience within eCommerce IT Organisation; in-depth experience and understanding of IT and software development.
d) Strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem solving skills; good understanding of project development lifecycle.
f) Strong verbal and written communication skills plus the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical people.
g) Good understanding and experience of testing with user stories as opposed to specification documents.
h) Presentation & organisational skills are essential, results focused with ability to work to agreed deadlines.
i) ISEB/ISTQB - minimum Foundation level.

DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) A sound understanding of automated testing.
b) Experience of JIRA, automated testing tools.
c) Prince II certification or equivalent.
