The EMC department provides a consistent engineering approach to meeting EMC requirements at all stages of product development from concept to in-service support.
Opportunities exist for:
An EMC Engineer to cover the following typical responsibilities:
Producing EMC Environmental Requirement Specifications
Utilise electromagnetic modelling and circuit modelling in order to analyse issues and design solutions, such as filters, transorbs and gaskets
Provide technical guidance regarding appropriate technologies, policies and principles for surviving the environment, including input into conceptual studies and support for research and development projects
Development of trials plans and schedules based on interpretation of the requirements and the technologies, including the selection of test facilities and specification of the required instrumentation
Provide technical guidance to design authorities with respect to appropriate technologies and design principles to survive the specified radiated and conducted EMC environments and to comply with specified radiated and conducted emissions requirements.
Candidate Experience:
Ideally degree qualified or equivalent
Working experience of EMC and simulation tools, ideally within the Defence Sector
Good verbal and written communication abilities
Proven analytical and problem solving skills
Effective at working in teams with strong interpersonal skills
Strong ability to push through the correct technical solution
Relevant experience of EMC defence standards and ideally experience at a UKAS accredited EMC facility
