My client is looking to recruit and experienced and professional HGV Service Manager to join their very successful HGV Workshop near Newbury. Once you have proven yourself in this position, you can expect career progression within the business. I.E. Aftersales Manager - Which would require you to manage 3-4 Depots. As Service Manager, you will have you will have full responsibility for ensuring a team of productive technicians are working to the desired high standard as set out by the company. As well as managing the technicians you will have a large administrative team to help support the department and ensure that customers are treated in the way demanded by our Client. You will be responsible for the efficient running of the workshop, delegating the workload to your team of technicians, organising them and ensuring the work is carried out within a set timeframe, ensuring a high efficiency and productivity rating. You will need to ensure a smooth running of the companies fleet vehicles which is made up of a mixture of trucks and trailers and ensure the efficient workshop loading. A hands on leader, with a proven background in people management in terms of achievement through their team, you will have an extensive knowledge of the operational running of a workshop and business administration, with a strong computer literacy. Are you an experienced field service engineer, supporting high tech equipment used in the manufacturing of semiconductor, Aerospace, Medical, Power device technology and more? Are you looking for a new challenge, and opportunity, particularly in high end inspection technology?

Our client is one of the world's leading manufacturers of X-ray light source technology. They currently need 2 field service engineers to support their products in the field – within a range of industries. A semiconductor background, or experience working in a cleanroom setting, is required as this is viewed as a more difficult working environment.

The successful candidate will be required to:-
- Take ownership of their toolset; providing maintenance, training, installations support and more. Primarily on Inspection equipment, and bonding tools.
- Ensure the highest level of service at the client’s customer site.
- Be able to travel anywhere in Europe, mainly the Far East and USA. (Approximately 50% -60% travel, worldwide)
- Be able to adapt to an environment of different needs and cultures at customer locations.

The ideal candidate will have the following:-
- A strong Field Service background, preferably in the Semiconductor industry.
- X-ray inspection or/and bonding equipment knowledge, would be an advantage.
- An understanding of working in a manufacturing environment, including cleanrooms, and all the safety requirements involved.
- Experience as a travelling engineer would be a bonus, particularly to the Far East.
- HND in Physics / engineering, similar or better.
