Software Programmer (PLC machinery)
Sharnbrook, North Bedfordshire
Salary up to £40k per annum
Our client is a leading supplier of automated portioning and robotic systems to the food industry, based in North Bedfordshire.
They are now looking for an experienced software programmer to design and program PLC software for a range of standard and bespoke machinery, and install and commission systems at customer sites.
Software Programmer (PLC machinery) - Role overview:
You will be able to work from functional specifications and work in conjunction with the mechanical designers to develop machine sequences from scratch and program operator interface software.
Software Programmer (PLC machinery) - Key skills & experience:
You must have PLC programming experience, with knowledge of Omron equipment advantageous; experience of other platforms such as Allen Bradley and Siemens will be useful. Many of the solutions are robot-based and so the ability to program robots, particularly ABB, would be beneficial; in any case you would have the opportunity to be trained in this area. Experience in drives, motion control and machine vision technology will also be considered a benefit.
Software Programmer (PLC machinery) - Personal Qualities:
