We urgently require a Business Analyst to work onsite in Bath with our local Government client. The Business Analyst will work with stakeholders as well as System users. Working within a large change environment, you will be require understanding the impact of these changes, documenting the requirements and assess the needs. You will identify and evaluate relevant solutions to the business problems, develop business cases and assist in getting these agreed and signed off. This particular project relates to Systems Rationalisation. The ideal candidate will have experience within Local Government. You will be familiar with LG systems and have excellent communications skills to interview senior managers and systems owners. You must be able to document findings and feedback outcomes.

Rapidly expanding financial services organisation require a PMO Analyst to join the Programme Office to support a portfolio of Business driven IT projects and programmes, including two major change Programmes and 15 – 20 concurrent other projects at any time. The role also includes providing assistance with Commercial Management function.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage project life-cycle, providing control through governance stages, facilitating sign-offs of critical stages, maintaining good project records
• Ownership of project methodology, including reviews and updates as appropriate and enforcement to ensure effective at all times
• Management of project time-tracking system, ie collecting time from individuals working on projects and producing suitable management reports
• Consolidate financial information regarding project budgets and status and produce management reports as defined
• Manage document management system for the programme, based on Sharepoint, and PMO Intranet site
• Manage change control and issue resolution systems across the programme
• Review and interpret project status information to provide appropriate input to management reports as requested
• Management of Steering Meetings for defined projects (attended by Senior Execs), to include organisation, attendance and minutes
• Potentially some specific project management activities such as project planning, tracking etc under delegation from overall Project Manager
• Maintenance of records system for legal contracts, ensuring contracts are properly logged, tracked and maintained
• Other ad hoc support tasks for programme and project managers

Key Skills/ Knowledge:

• Understanding of project life-cycle and the need for project control, document management, RAID logs, time tracking etc
• Numerate, comfortable manipulating numbers, and ideally with some experience or awareness of project accounting
• Experienced in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and ideally Sharepoint - experience in a project management/time tracking tool (eg MS Project) would be useful but not essential
