My client is a highly successful industrial services company who is now seeking an experienced Company Accountant to take charge of the day to day accounts function.

Reporting to the Managing Director, this new hands on role will involve preparation of monthly accounts to profit and loss and balance sheet stage, together with analysis, budgeting and forecasting. You will also oversee the sales and purchase ledgers, credit control and cash flow, payroll and banking.

This varied all round role will suit an individual with an in-depth experience in accounts, preferably in a small to medium sized business. You should also have a hands on approach, be proactive, demonstrate strong IT skills and the ability to be self motivated.

This is a great opportunity for a commercially aware Management Accountant to join this prestigious, privately owned business, a market leader in its field and with turnover approaching £100m.

Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for the month end reporting and analysis, production of budgets and forecasts together with standard and product costing. In addition you will liaise extensively with both sales and operations providing key financial information and commercial analysis.
You will also play a key role in profitability and customer analysis, providing high quality reports for senior management. High level experience of excel is a prerequisite.

You should possess good business acumen, coupled with strong communication skills at all levels and have recent experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ideally you will be qualified (CIMA, ACCA) or studying towards the final stages of a professional accountancy qualification. The company offers excellent career progression and commercial exposure in a fast moving environment committed to continuous improvement.
