Watson Moore is currently managing the recruitment process for a Private Equity backed B2B business based in Aylesbury. Reporting into the Finance Director, you will also be tasked with producing the monthly management accounts, producing a timely and informative monthly board pack with a full suite of operational KPIs, maintaining a strict control over cash flow as well as partnering with operational personnel to help drive business performance. The successful candidate will need to be at ease operating in the detail of the finances, helping to produce the accounts as well as possessing a strong knowledge of accounting systems and the ability to adapt quickly to a new software package. Taking responsibility for the day to day operations of the finance function, you will lead and develop a small team, instilling exceptional standards and a ‘done right first time’ mentality.

As a high profile number two role within an ambitious Private Equity backed business, this role will offer the successful candidate excellent exposure to a PE environment. In addition to this, the hands on nature of the role and the wide ranging remit will allow this person to very quickly add value and to tangibly drive the performance of the business from day one.

The successful candidate will be an ACA/CIMA/ACCA with at least 3-4 years post qualification experience. You will also be able to demonstrate previous success within a Finance Manager or Financial Controller role in a demanding and fast paced business environment. Previous staff management experience is highly desirable as is experience within the SME sphere. Candidates must be highly IT literate and will be comfortable in picking up and utilising new systems quickly and efficiently. Candidates must be available immediately or be on a notice period of one month maximum.
