Recommend repairs and advise AOM / OSM on the restoration of 'fit for purpose' condition; accept repairs and assign inspection intervals to achieve legal compliance and business integrity goals.
Provide inspection resource to support projects, plant modifications and TAR work to deliver legal compliance and business integrity requirements.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
University degree in technical discipline, or equivalent.
Extensive engineering experience in inspection of pipelines, pipework and vessels, fabrication, design, commissioning, and plant operations on a high hazard refining or petrochemicals manufacturing site.
Detailed knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards.
Demonstrated leadership and problem solving capability.
In-depth knowledge of routine non destructive inspection techniques, an appreciation of specialist NDT techniques and detailed understanding of materials and corrosion mechanisms.
Chartered Engineering status with a recognised institution.

One of our leading global Oil & Gas organisations require experienced Field Drilling Superintendents, this is a key operational role in ensuring optimal execution of drilling, completion and well intervention activities. The role will extend to rigs and completion and well intervention operations, and specifically involve:
Daily support to the field drilling, completion and well intervention supervisors in all aspects of the planning and execution of well activities
Monitoring civil construction and water well drilling activities
Performing and leading regular technical and HSE audits and inspections as per the HSE plan, the audit plan and contractual requirements
Participating and leading incident investigations
Ensuring follow-up actions are pursued
Managing the interfaces between field production, logistics and materials, HSE departments and drilling, completion and well intervention activities, and resolving any conflicts
Advising field managers on drilling, completion and well intervention matters
Participating in 'Drill-the-Limit' initiatives to improve client drilling, completion and well intervention activities
Ensuring compliance with client's wells minimum standards
Developing staff in all aspects of drilling, completion and well intervention operations, with a particular focus on HSE
Networking with your peers to drive improvements in drilling, completion and well intervention operations through knowledge and resource sharing.
Essential Qualifications / Skills:
With a Degree in Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering, or a related science discipline, you'll have substantial experience of well operations, some of this time should have been spent in a rig supervisory position.
Excellent technical and communications skills, with a clear understanding of the technical, operational and commercial aspects of well engineering
A valid IWCF certificate
The ability to work effectively as a team player in a challenging, multi-cultural environment
Solid well engineering technical knowledge to maintain the necessary standards in day-to-day operations
A proven track record in implementing performance improvements, and experience of technical auditing and managing HSE in the field
Experience with completion and well intervention operations and aspects of drilling operations
Strong leadership skills and a flexible attitude
Creativity and enthusiasm with a strong business sense and the ability to plan, prioritise and manage your activities with independence and freedom
Strong interpersonal, communication and management skills in relations within and between various departments
The ability to train, coach and handle conflicts.

Job Duties/Responsibilities
As a senior technical staff member, propose and carry out complex assignments independently with minimal day-to-day direction from supervisor;
Carry out extensive detailed mapping on 3D or 2D seismic data, analysing seismic attributes, and preparing detailed structural, stratigraphic, and amplitude maps;
Evaluate 2D and 3D seismic data sets for hydrocarbon potential and make recommendations for future exploration efforts based on technical and business experience;
Recommend purchase or disposition of leases based on integrated geological and geophysical information; major contributor to lease sale evaluation efforts;
Recommend major areas of future exploration efforts;
Recommend areas for future seismic data acquisition;
Generate/recommend opportunities for drilling to management;
Mature prospects to drill ready status, working with support departments (drilling, land, development, production, etc.) to ensure all processes are adhered to and that the highest quality drilling program is prepared;
Initiate and direct major geological studies;
Develop geological models from well logs, cross-sections, and maps;
Construct geological maps from well logs and seismic data;
Maintain practical familiarity with current salt tectonics research, and apply those concepts to geologic and seismic interpretation within complex and challenging environments;
Integrate deepwater depositional concepts, biostratigraphic data, log character, and seismic data to develop interpretation of depositional environment and facies distributions;
Incorporate sequence stratigraphic concepts to construct paleogeographic maps illustrating salt features and sediment fairways;
Direct preparation of geological maps;
Estimate oil reserves in proven or prospective fields, and consult with Petroleum Engineers concerning drilling and production methods;
Estimate hydrocarbon resource size in generated prospects and perform related risk assessments;
Participate in multi-disciplinary team following exploratory well drilling operations to evaluate results;
Education/Experience
Master's degree in Geology or Geophysics, or a Bachelor's degree with experience commensurate to a Master's degree, is required;
Minimum of 10 years' professional oil and gas exploration and development experience working with or in a business unit cross-functional team or technology group;
Familiarity with depth-imaging technology a plus;
Must be a proven prospect generator;
Must be able to work in highly charged, fast-paced work environment, and be able to handle multiple projects at once.
