The organisation is split into five key business units including transport & marine and oil & gas. The oil & gas business offers a diverse portfolio of engineering support services and products to the upstream and downstream oil and gas market and are an established provider of a range of risk based integrity services that support and enhance asset operation and maintenance.
As a Senior Pipeline Engineer you will play a leading role in the delivery of offshore and subsea pipeline integrity services to the internal and external clients by the Pipeline Integrity team. Based in Aberdeen, occasional offshore and international travel is to be expected. Your primary responsibility will be to assess and manage the offshore and subsea pipeline integrity issues for internal and external clients. You will be expected to undertake integrity risk assessments and evaluate survey inspection results. You will be required to undertake project management roles when required.
It is essential that you are an accredited engineer with a degree in a relevant discipline. Individuals with a chartered engineer status will have a strong advantage in the application process. 5 years’ experience in the offshore and subsea sector focusing on pipelines and integrity services is a core requirement, along with a familiarity using integrity databases.

The successful candidate will be a Mechanical or Structural Engineer (degree qualified or similar) and will have considerable experience in a challenging design role, ideally focused on structural steel. Fabrication knowledge would be preferred and it’s essential that you have demonstrable experience of working with design calculations. Applicants should have frame analysis experience (ideally using STRAP or STAAD) and should be familiar with Mathcad, AutoCAD and a 3D package (ideally Solidworks).
This role will be based in Aberdeen in the pleasant surroundings of the modern office where there is an onsite gym, ample parking and a nice atmosphere.
