Overview:

Our client specialises in hazardous area control systems / instrumentation and due to continued growth, they currently have an opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the project management, design and production of small projects up to £150k - the projects are generally for clients within the process industry and relate to the control of pumps and powder handling systems.

APPLICATIONS FROM RECENTLY QUALIFIED APPRENTICES OR GRADUATES WITH 1-2 YEARS COMMERCIAL EXPERIENCE IN A RELEVANT DISCIPLINE, WILL ALSO BE CONSIDERED.

Requirements:

Will be a competent CAD user, ideally experienced with AutoCAD Electrical or similar.
Must be capable of understanding clients requirements and integrating their specifications into the design.
Demonstrate an understanding of process control systems and their application.

The following would be advantageous but is not essential:

Any familiarity with PLC software (Rockwell, Siemens).
An understanding of IECex and ATEX hazardous areas.

Job Description:

Design and build industrial control systems for the process industry.
Supply IECex and ATEX hazardous area equipment.
On site package/skid wiring (using CompEX approved electricians).
Design and supply actuator positioners, mainly for the electro-hydraulic actuator market.
