Product Support Engineer - Dairy Industry
Location: Witney, Oxfordshire
Salary: 45K

Our client is an international market leader in the design, production, sales and marketing of specialist plastic
components for the dairy industry. Its core competence lies in the areas of mastitis prevention, mastitis detection, milk
quality control and herd health management. It has a turnover in the region of 2.5 million with export sales to some 40
countries exceeding 1.5 million.

Job Purpose
Provide technical expertise to the Product Development Department to ensure that new and existing products perform beyond
customers' expectations. Designs to be technically innovative have relevant Intellectual Property, whilst also proving
economically viable to the business.

Key tasks:
Product Development:
Assisting with new & existing product development; testing of the iterations both internally and in managing on farm live
trials
Maintaining the R&D Lab in a clean and organised fashion to facilitate rapid testing of products; setting up of test
protocols and recording results
Maintaining a working relationship with existing test farms and nurturing new test farms where wider studies or specific
test requirements dictate
Liaising with chemical suppliers to ensure their products remain appropriate and sufficient current chemicals/solutions
can be tested as required
Customer Technical Support:
Provide technical support to customers and sales, advising on fault finding and resolution of technical issues
Manage the customer returns and warranty claims, provide accurate feedback to the customer replacement product as
appropriate whilst managing the budgetary requirements

Key Skills:
Good English language skills
Foreign Language(s) a bonus
PC Literate - Windows and Office
Technically aware
CAD - Mechanical Design (Solidworks)
Electrical/Electronics/Chemistry knowledge
Mechanical Design experience
Customer Focus
Knowledge of Plastic Injection Moulding
Good team player
