Marketing, Sales and Business Development Role - PT - Self Employed Consultant - London

An exciting Marketing, Sales and Business Development Role has arisen in a successful and expanding legal services
consultancy. Experience of and/or within law firms is essential.

PT role as a self-employed consultant. Central London. Competitive rates. Portfolio is essential as are references.

Key Responsibilities will include:

* Winning business from new and existing clients

* Strategic development of client relationships

* Business Planning & Development: working with the Managing Director proactively to identify. plan & develop new
business opportunities with new and existing clients in the UK and abroad

* Brand & profile development and enhancement

* Producing sales and marketing materials

* Proactive identification of new work opportunities & proactive management of current clients

* Researching the legal market (including competitors)to ensure best positioning, promotion and strengthening of our
brand, capabilities and products within the legal marketplace in the UK and worldwide, to identify new business
targets and to assess the current & prospective needs of current clients

* Planning, developing & implementing effective on-going marketing and PR campaigns with the legal and other press
which can also be used as a basis for sales pitches to clients; planning and organising significant BD events with
clients including conferences, in house seminars

* Active ICT & social media knowledge required with ability to update website content & manage social media updates

* Analysing costs against benefits and suggesting budgetary changes quarterly

* Securing potential sales opportunities and then delivering sales pitches to legal clients - usually at senior
partner level

* Managing key client relationships and ensuring on-going client PR, marketing & sales campaigns

* Information gathering and management

* Creating & keeping up-to-date relevant databases and utilising SAGE CRM and other Excel & Access databases of client
details

* Organising and writing the PR within the legal and business press

* Producing relevant research for client newsletters and legal bulletins; then planning and producing them to clients
and prospective clients

* Managing, reviewing and creating new content for the website

* Identifying opportunities to have contact with new and existing clients and showcase to them in order to win new
business; organising client events and/or our presence at legal functions

* Cleansing the databases and ensuring they are up-to-date including correcting incomplete or inaccurate information

* Managing and data cleansing 'bounce-back' emails following marketing e-mailings and hard copy mailings

* Ensuring data protection compliance is adhered to

* Organising partnering with legal entities relevant to our work area e.g. insurers, electronic verification companies
and other commercial legal organisations

Personal Skills to include:

* Degree educated with at least 3 years' marketing and business development experience in professional services, with
demonstrable use of common sense & initiative

* Client focussed & results driven

* Proactive, positive and hardworking team member committed to providing highest levels of support & service demanded
by our legal clients

* Excellent IT skills with MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint & Word and SAGE ACT

* You should be extremely organised, have a flexible approach to work & be totally reliable

* Confident and outgoing personality, ability to work on own initiative and keep Managing Director fully updated on
all matters

* High levels of interpersonal skills, flexibility and the ability easily to multitask

* Excellent communication skills & command of English (verbal & written)

* Able to produce excellent and relevant research and consequent commercial & financial results

* Highly self-motivated, punctual and good attendance

* Ability to self-organise and self-prioritise extensive workload effectively under pressure & to deliver excellent
standard of work consistently and to strict deadlines

* Assiduous attention to detail & accuracy in all office skills

* Maintain high level of client and business confidentiality

* A good standard of education & proven interest in personal self-development
