Finance Analyst

As a leading defence & electronics manufacturing business based in Glenrothes we are looking for a enthusiastic & driven
Finance Analyst to support the business across various activities.

Job Purpose

Providing financial support and business acumen to support multiple programs within a 80m manufacturing business.
Responsible for variance analysis, productivity analysis, month end, year end, forecasting and budgeting, within a
contract costing environment.
This role will be program focussed , the role holder becoming a key business partner for the Program Manager in several
large programs. Analysis will include Estimates at completion and Earned value program reviews, alongside R&O management.

Nature and Scope

Key responsibilities/ budget/people summary of main activities

* Program support finance to large programs, key business partner to the program team and program manager
* Make recommendations as to how to improve efficiency in reporting and recommend courses of action that drive
improvement. (Program reporting and close using SAP & Cognos)
* Ability to balance multiple priorities with tight deadlines
* Account reconciliations and other post close activities
* Special projects including other finance support
* Working as part of a team,with high collaboration across the IPT, with an eye for detail and drive for accuracy
* Ensuring compliance with company policy , US GAAP and SOX
* Key player in post SAP implementation process improvement
* Strong communications across functions and levels and able to communicate complex financial information to non finance
staff

Education and Experience

* Qualified / Finalist with Degree or equivalent
* Manufacturing /costing or 'blue chip' experience is desirable
* Strong systems and Process skills
* Ability to communicate and influence at all levels
