PHP Web Developer required to join a full digital agency based in Southampton to develop, update and support their client websites, including e-commerce and client system integration. You will be working with a dedicated and progressive team to help develop, extend and support their client websites including specification, design, structured development, workflow applications, version control and security. As well as working with the internal team, you will on occasion be involved in client contact for development and update meetings.

Ideally, we are looking for a Back End Developer with strong OOP PHP and MySQL experience within a LAMP environment and/or be familiar with application development.

To be considered for this position we are looking for candidates with the following skills:
* Experience working with PHP5.3 and MySQL
* Experience with MVC frameworks and CMS platforms (Drupal, Joomla, Wordpress, Symfony, Zend, etc)
* Good understanding of object oriented programming concepts
* Comfortable developing and debugging applications in a Unix/Linux environment
* Experience with AJAX techniques using modern JavaScript libraries
* Knowledge of web application security considerations
* Experience with source control software
* Comfortable documenting code
* Familiarity of usability and W3C AAA accessibility standards
* Basic Knowledge of SEO best practices
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
