Leading corporate law firm in South Africa is looking for an Associate to join their Africa Mining and Energy Projects practice group.
The team is dedicated to developing and refining many of the project development structures and transactional techniques in the Africa natural resources sector. Working seamlessly with other lawyers and other relevant practices in the firm, the group offers clients an integrated approach to large scale transactions and projects and assists clients in overcoming specific legal challenges that are often encountered in mining and energy projects.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two year's post-articles experience, an interest or experience in public law, public international law or regulatory law would be advantageous. The candidate should possess strong analytical skills, have an excellent command of English and enjoy opinion writing and consultancy work. Knowledge of South Africa's regulatory environment for mining, oil and gas, cards payment is helpful as is any relevant post-LLB qualification.
