The Repair Technician will report directly to the Technical Cell Leader and will need to have the ability to deputise for the Cell Leader in their absence. The Repair Technician will support the Continuous Improvement initiatives and need to be able to generate new idea's to support Continuous Improvement culture and lean manufacturing methods and techniques. The Repair Technician's role will be to develop, implement and maintain repair maintenance documentation and metrics including, process maps, work instructions and procedures, standards, process and product specifications
The appointed Repair Technician will carry out the following key responsibilities
Key duties/responsibilities:
*Repair of aircraft products, including Electro-mechanical and Complex mechanical assemblies.
*Carrying out the Final Inspection stages to produce the appropriate service documentation from JDE.
*Organisational reporting
*Work with the planner and purchaser to ensure all materials required are available on time and in full to support the Product Repair TAT requirements
*Ensure products are repaired and maintained in accordance with company systems and procedures
*Working with the quality team to ensure the correct information is available
*liaising with the other departments and divisions to share the best practice methods are executed
*Liaising with customers and suppliers on repairs and customer support issues
The appointed Repair Technician will need to meet the following key requirements for the position:
Essential attributes:
*Have the ability to carry out the final inspection stage and produce the appropriate release to service documentation from JDE
*Have an ONC/HNC in a relevant engineering discipline. Experience will be considered
*Minimum GCSE in mathematics / English qualifications
There may be a requirement to support either off or on site Repairs or customer owned products, for customers or other departments within the company.
