The Company
Our client is a global facilities management company providing a range of hard and soft services they have a number of
prestigious contracts in both the government and commercial blue chip sector. Due to promotion our client is currently
recruiting for a General Manager to look after their Northern region.
The Role
The remit of the General Manager role:-
* Provide leadership and management to a team including a group of Contract Managers
* Ensure financial and operational commitments are met and exceeded
* Ensure additional business is developed within the business and also ensuring new business targets are acheived via the
sales team
* Ensure opportunities are identified for the strategic development of the contracts in order to deliver increased
turnover and profitability
* Add additional services and ensure that contracts are re-won on re-tender
* Ensure that Managers are meeting their KPI's e.g. ensuring optimum staffing structure operates across the business,
reduction of WIP, debt, and costs, while ensuring growth
The Candidate
The General Manager skills and experience required:-
* Experienced managing a team of Area / Contract Managers who have responsibility for managing large contracts
* Relevant industry experience in either Hard or Soft services ideally with a mix of both however this is not essential
* Ambitious, confident and able to demonstrate a career with continuous personal development
* Analytical, innovative and constantly looking for ways to improve the business, while being an excellent motivator of
staff, and a team player
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, who is committed to customer service, accessible to customers, and has
a high level of personal integrity
* Computer literate, organised, able to prioritise and deliver within high pressure business critical environments
* Capable of developing strategies to win against the competition, as well as identifying and delivering added value
services, they must be flexible
* Able to articulate the "Value Proposition" of our client's service to prospects and customers at Board Level, and take
ownership of the business they will be running
The Reward
In return, the General Manager will receive an excellent remuneration package including 65k - 80k salary plus excellent
bonuses, car allowance, 25 days holiday, company pension scheme healthcare and our client offers excellent career
