Electrical Design Engineer - Based in Birmingham

Salary
The salary on offer is up to 38000

An opportunity has arisen to work within a growing design team and contribute to the development of electrical designs
and design standards and contribute to the objectives of the team.

Role Description
The role requires you to:
Develop the electrical design standards for distribution, primary and grid substations for use throughout the group
Review and check the electrical designs
Produce protection setting for the company ranging from 11kv through to 132kv
Support and mentor the junior members of the team to enhance their technical knowledge and understanding
Undertake site visits as required
Post fault analysis for incidents up to 33kv

Required Experience
For this role you will be required to:
Have a strong electrical engineering background and have a knowledge of protection designs up to 132kv
Be able to work with external engineering organisations and customers
Have a good safety culture and sound understanding of Construction Design Management
Be a good team player and have strong team work skills
Be able to work unsupervised and still achieve the targets set
A minimum of a HNC in electrical engineering
