An exciting Project Engineer role has arisen with EGGER one on the leading manufacturers of wood based panels in Europe,
based in Hexham.
EGGER is one of the leading manufacturers of wood based panels in Europe. We have completed a significant re-development
of our existing Hexham site into one of the most technologically advanced in Europe. We now have a new opportunity for a
Project Engineer to join the Engineering team in Hexham.
In this Project Engineer role, you'll be right at the heart of supporting our engineering projects, factory maintenance,
structural design, installations and the commissioning of state of the art equipment. That'll mean you'll be assessing
estimates, making sure our costs don't rise beyond and take appropriate action should they do so. Core to the role is the
ongoing development of the factory site and you'll play a crucial part in the planning and alterations to ensure best
practice is always achieved. You'll continuously provide updated reports to the senior team on the progress of projects
and their associated costs and safety implications ensuring our standards are always met. This exciting and challenging
role will create the opportunity of driving change and improvements and you'll attend international meetings and courses
to share your knowledge to the group.
The successful Project Engineer will have either a degree in Structural/Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent HNC/HND
and you'll need substantial experience of working as a Project Manager within a manufacturing organisation. You'll be IT
literate and familiar with AUTOCAD and Microsoft Office products. You'll have strong knowledge of health and safety best
practices and regulations. And if you're familiar with our products, so much the better.
